In this fast-paced, immersive 4-hour workshop, business school deans will be empowered to explore and master the latest AI tools that can revolutionize teaching, research, and administrative processes in their institutions. As a busy dean, this hands-on experience will allow you to discover how AI can make both your faculty’s and staff’s work faster and more efficient while maintaining a high level of quality. By the end of this session, participants will gain practical insights into the most widely accepted AI tools across teaching, research, and administrative oversight, and how to implement them strategically within their institutions.
Workshop Modules
- Overview of the Major AI Tools for Teaching, Research, and Administration: This module offers a deep dive into the most widely used AI tools in academia. Participants will receive hands-on experience, learning when and how to use each tool effectively. By the end of this session, participants will know which tools are best for content generation, research assistance, and streamlining administrative work.
- Leveraging AI for Teaching and Learning: Learn how AI can create course content, develop grading rubrics, automate assessments, and facilitate student feedback. Participants will discover how these tools can significantly reduce faculty workload while improving engagement and learning outcomes.
- AI Tools for Research Innovation: Explore cutting-edge AI tools that can assist faculty in conducting literature reviews, data analysis, and even the generation of research insights. From research publication tools to AI-assisted data modeling, this module will help deans understand how to bring AI into research workflows to enhance productivity and impact.
- AI Tools for Productivity: This final module provides hands-on experience with AI solutions for automating tedious administrative tasks such as enrollment management, scheduling, and communication. Examples will include tools like ChatGPT for automating routine communications, predictive analytics for enrollment, and smart assistants for project management.

Facilitators
Stephanie Bryant, 麻豆传媒高清 International (Module 1)
Dr. Stephanie M. Bryant is the Executive Vice President and Global Chief Accreditation Officer of 麻豆传媒高清 International. She served as Dean of the College of Business at Missouri State University for 6-1/2 years and was previously the Director of the University of South Florida School of Accountancy. She received her Ph.D. and B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University and is a Louisiana CPA (inactive). Dr. Bryant specializes in accounting information systems, and previously worked for KPMG Peat Marwick. Dr. Bryant has co-authored two accounting textbooks, and over 30 academic articles and has won nine teaching awards. She served as the 2005-2006 national President of the American Accounting Association Information Systems Section. She also served as the 2006-2009 International President of Beta Alpha Psi.
Uday S. Murthy, University of South Florida (Module 2)
Dr. Uday Murthy is Professor and Quinn Eminent Scholar of Accounting Information Systems in the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy at the University of South Florida. He served as director of the school from 2011 to 2019. Professor Murthy earned his PhD from Indiana University, Bloomington. He has published over 50 scholarly journal articles in journals such as The Accounting Review, Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, Journal of Information Systems, Behavioral Research in Accounting, International Journal of Accounting Information Systems, Journal of Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, and Information & Management. Professor Murthy has served as coeditor of the Journal of Information Systems, the leading academic journal for accounting information systems research, and currently serves as an associate editor of International Journal of Accounting Information Systems, and on the editorial boards of Journal of Information Systems and Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting. In the Brigham Young University Accounting Research rankings, Professor Murthy is ranked #4 in the accounting information systems research field overall and #1 for AIS research using the experimental methodology.
Samantha Steidle, Radford University (Module 3)
Dr. Samantha Steidle is the Director of Radford University's Venture Lab and an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Strategy. She has worked as a contractor for the U.S. Treasury, supporting the $10 billion State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI). Dr. Steidle is skilled in generative AI, integrating it into research, business productivity, and education to train the future workforce. Her work addresses wicked problems, highlighting AI's potential for societal good.
Tawnya Means, University of Illinois Urbana-Campaign (Module 4)
Dr. Tawnya Means is the Assistant Dean for Educational Innovation at Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She leads the development and implementation of innovative ideas, technologies, and approaches across the College's educational portfolio. With 20+ years of experience in higher education, course design, and educational consulting, Tawnya has led teaching and learning teams and taught courses in entrepreneurship, strategy, technology, and leadership in remote teams. Her research interests include online and blended learning, active learning, learning space design, technology innovation, access to digital learning resources, generative AI for education, and faculty preparation to teach.
